Are you ready to lead a team that helps feed North America? Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative, is seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our production facility in Woodland, California.

 

In this role, you’ll lead a skilled maintenance team dedicated to keeping our equipment and operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll play a key part in driving reliability, supporting production goals, and fostering a culture built on teamwork, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. Our state-of-the-art Woodland facility utilizes advanced technology to process whole tomatoes into diced, crushed, stewed, sauces, and paste. With cutting-edge sorting systems and sustainable practices like a closed-loop water system and Cogen power generation, we prioritize quality, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

 

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll lead our mechanical maintenance team to ensure all equipment, systems, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

You will:

  • Manage and coordinate all activities of mechanical maintenance team members.
  • Plan and oversee preventative maintenance activities that will keep production equipment in excellent condition, keep lines running high efficiencies and maintain proper stock of parts utilizing our CMMS.
  • Develop and manage expense budget and oversee the development and management of capital projects.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, and reviews performance of employees.
  • Oversee safety team activities and enforce safety requirements.
  • Develops equipment downtime and reliability solutions and supports troubleshooting needs when required.
  • Produce reports and metrics on repair activities, efficiencies, downtime, etc.
  • Collaborates with the production team and Corporate Engineering Department to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment (10+ years preferred).
  • 5 years of supervisory/management experience in food manufacturing; experience in a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred - Process or Mechanical Engineering degree a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed, during the seasonal tomato pack (July–October).
  • Must be Proficient in troubleshooting production line and food processing equipment issues and preparing Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • Experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance, development of functional specifications for new equipment or systems, and reliability programs. 
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance and make recommendations to existing standards and procedures.
  • Experience with Capital Management of projects above $50,000+ and project bid specifications.
  • Utilize communication skills to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management personnel.

Salary Range: $120,000–$160,000/year (based on experience). This is a full-time, on-site role based at our production facility in Woodland, CA.

The base salary range reflects the reasonable expectation for what the company anticipates paying for this role at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on factors including, but not limited to:

  • Relevant skills, education, and experience
  • Job-related qualifications and certifications
  • Internal pay equity
  • Market conditions and business needs
