Position: Warehouseman & Plant Operations Helper Supervisor: Plant Operations Supervisor General Job Description: To provide students and staff with supplies, materials and equipment through an efficient procedure of receiving, stocking and delivery, while assisting Plant Operations staff with maintenance, grounds, and other operational support duties as needed.

- Receive, account for, and stock supplies, materials, and equipment as required
- Deliver and pick up supplies and materials to and from district sites in a timely manner
- Complete required records, reports, and inventory documentation
- Operate district vehicles and equipment safely and in compliance with district policy
- Assist Plant Operations with maintenance tasks such as moving equipment, minor repairs, and site support
- Assist with exterior maintenance including grounds cleanup, trash removal, and light landscaping as needed
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and other equipment in proper working condition
- Work safely with personal safety and the safety of others as a priority
- Maintain good rapport with school personnel and the public
- Respond positively to supervision
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; familiar with inventory procedures; ability to move, lift, and carry equipment and materials as needed (up to 100 pounds); experience in warehouse, maintenance, or grounds work preferred. Forklift experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 100 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, walking, and moving light furniture may be required. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all equipment necessary for the job, including warehouse and maintenance tools, delivery vehicles, and current technology used for inventory and communication.
Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. After hour work may be required.
Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district. This position is contracted for 246 days per year.
