Summary

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence and customer satisfaction? We're looking for an experienced Service Manager to join our service department and bring it to the next level of performance and profitability.

Essential Duties

As Service Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of our service department operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and a top-tier customer experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and Manage the Team: Hire, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Optimize Workflow & Technician Productivity: Monitor daily technician time, ensure effective scheduling, and make sure billable hours are maximized through proper time management and job allocation.
  • Drive Financial Success: Control expenses, forecast goals, and track key performance metrics to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure High-Quality Repairs & Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high service standards with thorough quality control. Conduct spot checks on repair work, follow up with customers post-service, and address any concerns or complaints immediately.
  • Manage Compliance & Warranty Processes: Stay current with federal, state, and manufacturer regulations. Ensure proper documentation, adherence to warranty policies, and accurate submission of claims.
  • Improve Customer Retention: Develop marketing initiatives to drive new and repeat business. Build long-term relationships through transparent communication, fair estimates, and prompt service.
  • Streamline Operations: Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely parts availability. Maintain accurate records, service files, and up-to-date pricing menus for frequent repairs.
  • Maintain a Safe & Professional Work Environment: Oversee facility cleanliness, tool inventory, and safety compliance. Promote a team-oriented culture across all departments.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience as a Service Manager/Director with automotive dealership
  • Stellantis brand experience Preferred
  • Reynolds & Reynolds experience Preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze reports, track performance, and implement improvements
  • Knowledge of OEM warranty processes and OSHA compliance
  • A customer-first mindset with a commitment to quality service
