Job Description
Athletics Equipment Room Intern
Responsible for assisting in the daily management of all equipment activity for the Olympic Sports equipment room. These responsibilities include assisting in the management of the resource allocation provided by the department’s equipment and apparel provider, inventory maintenance and management, developing and implementing equipment room policies and procedures, and the supervision of student workers.
This position is a 40 week benefits eligible position including tuition remission
This position makes $16.00 an hour, 40 hours a week, $640 a week.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- At
least 2 years of experience/undergraduate involvement in intercollegiate
athletics and equipment operations is required, preferably at a NCAA Division I
institution.
- Evening
and weekend work is mandatory. These demands are primarily centered on athletic
competitions.
- Holidays and early morning hours are frequently
required for various athletic competitions and operational set up of athletic
and other events.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule is required as hours are dictated
directly by the athletic event scheduling, covering competitions and special
events.
- Experience with inventory management
- Knowledge of effective laundry practices

Ability to foster and maintain working relationships with student athletes,
coaches, administrative staff, other departments in the university, and the
community.
- This position will be expected to perform all duties
and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules.
