West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) is seeking qualified certificated professionals to provide instructional and counseling support during a special circumstance due to a potential work stoppage. These temporary assignments are intended to ensure continuity of learning and student support during this period.
Position & Assignment Details:
Roles: Teachers, other Certificated Positions
Duration: As needed throughout the potential work stoppage period
Locations: Across WCCUSD campuses (based on need)
Schedule: Full or partial day assignments; may include planning periods, release time, or split assignments as necessary
Compensation:
Daily Rate: $550/day
Current substitute teachers will receive the same strike rate when assigned
Paid on a per-day basis; no additional benefits beyond the daily rate
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Valid California Credential
Prior classroom or counseling experience preferred
Must pass a background check and provide references
Ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and changing needs
Commitment to student safety and maintaining instructional continuity
