Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Safety Monitor assists the building administration in maintaining a safe school environment for students, staff, parents and visitors to the school campus.
- Monitors visitors to the building and assures that only appropriate individuals have access to the building. Issues visitor badges.
- Inspects assigned building grounds area each morning looking for unsafe items, graffiti, and people not on official school business.
- Carries school issued public safety radio at all times. Reports emergencies to the Windsor Police Department.
- Responds to call for assistance from teachers. Escorts students to the office as needed.
- Supervises students inside and outside the building.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma. Security related background preferred.
