Position Duties

Provide manual assistance to workers engaged in the maintenance of City Park grounds, athletic fields, equipment and facilities. Perform park maintenance including, picking up trash, emptying trash cans, washing down hard surfaced areas, making net or fence repairs, and laying out baseball/softball fields per requirements. Will use various hand tools, such as broom, rake, wheel barrow and shovel and operate power tools and equipment including, small trucks, power driven mowers, back-pack blowers, chalk application devices, paint application machines and ball-field drags.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Some grounds maintenance work experience strongly desirable. Driving record and background check will be conducted.

Other Qualifications

Must be reliable, punctual and able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to utilize proper safety precautions related to all work performed. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds four feet from the ground.
