McClatchy Media is redefining how visual content drives digital storytelling across its Women’s Group brands, including Woman’s World magazine. As a Senior Platform Producer, you will lead the development and execution of audience growth and engagement strategies across our social and emerging platforms. This role blends big-picture planning with on-the-ground production, requiring a sharp editorial eye, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of evolving platform algorithms and trends.

It’s a fast-paced, decision-heavy position that requires expertise in social-first content creation, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape.

You will shape the social voice and content strategy for our brands, drive innovation in how we tell stories, and work cross-functionally to ensure all content meets brand objectives and engages our highly loyal audiences.

We’re looking for someone passionate about women’s lifestyle—especially our audience of women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond, navigating midlife and their later years while wishing there were a rule book for this new chapter.

You’re excited to be part of the cultural conversation, flipping the script on topics like perimenopause, menopause, and what it means to be in your 50s and beyond—a life stage that’s empowering, daunting, and completely new all at the same time.

You love falling down Subreddit rabbit holes with the latest shopping trends and joining outspoken Facebook groups—hello, We Don’t Care Club. You love leading the conversation and curating content for a community of women in mid- and later-life who have been overlooked for too long. While there’s no manual for getting older, you’re there by their side to help them through it.

You’ll collaborate closely with editorial to push traffic-first content — and follow it up with fun, reactive, personality-driven content that keeps our audience coming back again and again. 

The anticipated base pay range for this position is between $75,000 and $80,000 per year. Individual base pay may vary within that range, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, departmental equity, and relevant education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute platform strategies that drive growth, engagement, and brand visibility across FB, IG, TikTok, Threads, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Flipboard and emerging social platforms.
  • Lead social content planning and publishing calendars, ensuring alignment with brand priorities, seasonal tentpoles, and audience insights.
  • Create and oversee production of digital assets (photos, videos, stories, carousels, reels) and write compelling copy that’s tailored to each platform.
  • Analyze and interpret performance data, sharing insights with editorial and leadership teams to derive actionable tactics and inform future strategies.
  • Collaborate with editorial, video, design, and sales teams to drive cohesive storytelling.
  • Monitor trends, algorithms, audience behaviors, and best practices to continuously evolve the brand on social platforms and maintain a competitive advantage.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • 3–5+ years in digital media with proven success creating and executing social content strategies for consistently growing audiences
  • Expert understanding of major social platforms, analytics tools, and content trends
  • Strategic thinker with strong creative instincts and impeccable editorial judgment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
