The Store Planning Design & Visual Special Projects position is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of visual projects across multiple locations. This position drives timely delivery of visual projects while ensuring project execution aligns with brand standards, operational goals, and budgetary expectations. The Store Planning Design & Visual Special Projects position requires operational discipline and cross-functional collaboration to guide business partners and store teams through projects and simultaneous initiatives.

What you will do

  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative in leading the planning, budgeting, and execution of store construction and visual projects.
  • Elevate the overall store and building environment by participating in special projects that require creative direction, coordination, and implementation of visual elements.
  • Prioritize high-impact projects by managing competing timelines and resources across multiple initiatives. Manage Master Planning Schedule, ensuring proper coordination and communication with store leaders.
  • Plan and coordinate operational execution of construction, fixturing, and implementation of visual initiatives, including new store builds, remodels, and rollout programs. Ensure consistency in implementation while tailoring solutions to each store’s unique needs.
  • Execute project plans in collaboration with operations, visual merchandising, facilities, and external vendors. Champion process efficiency and cross-functional alignment to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Deliver clear and timely communication to partners and store leaders. Provide context and guidance throughout project lifecycles, adapting feedback to the audience, and fostering collaboration to drive successful outcomes.
  • Leverage industry knowledge, retail strategies, and cost analysis to assess project feasibility and develop actionable recommendations. Analyze creative components, visual elements, fixtures, and construction costs. Regularly review project strategies with business partners to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Perform cost estimates and provide professional recommendations pertaining to scope of work for current retail construction and visual projects. Monitor project accounting activities to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare accurate budget estimates and scope recommendations for future projects.  
  • Assess potential projects that reflect company strategy by providing planning recommendations and input on interior/exterior design elements.

  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers and Windows-based operating systems.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising or Retail Management
  • Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.
  • Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 75 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull receiving equipment weighing up to 500 lbs.
