MRCs Stevenson Oaks is located in Fort Worth with 172 independent living apartments, 40 assisted living units and 24 memory support suites offering an array of services such as dining, housekeeping, transportation, life enriching activities, home maintenance and more. We are currently seeking an experienced Physical Plant Director. The Physical Plant Director is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and operation of the overall building, grounds, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and employees. Other duties include:

 

  • Developing, directing and executing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assuring compliance with local/state/federal regulations, including fire and life safety.
  • Conducting audits and regular inspections, identifying needs and executing correction.
  • Managing work order flow to meet resident expectations
  • Assisting with the development and directing Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
  • Negotiation and management of vendor contracts/agreements, including ongoing relationships with vendors.
  • Leads staff on the maintenance, courtesy officers, and housekeeping teams.
  • Frequent rounding of buildings and grounds while developing relationships with staff and residents.
  • Rolling up sleeves and getting it done, sometimes after hours and on weekends.

 


Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role (Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent) leading facilities management in a large and complex setting with a strong acumen in Mechanical, Electrical, Life Safety, and Fire Protection Systems
  • Proficiency with inventory control and expense control
