Library Media Assistant - Oak Grove Middle School bei Jamul-Dulzura Union School District

Under immediate supervision of the school principal and under the general direction of the District’s director of technology, plans and accesses the programs of the school’s library media center and implements media/computer library related skills and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Evidence of recent positive clerical/library experience, verbal and written skills which enhance the exchange of information; and special interest in children’s literature and community literacy. Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system; basic knowledge on computers, printers, and software applications; computer software related to the tracking of library and textbooks, circulation, cataloging, and report generation; working knowledge of office and media equipment; and overseeing the library budget. Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Oak Grove Middle School is a small campus with less than 200 students. Located in eastern San Diego County approximately 25 minutes from downtown San Diego.
