Systems Team Coordinator
The Systems Team Coordinator is a full-time regular hire management position that is accountable for day to day operation and maintenance of all Breitenbush Hot Springs utilities, including the hydroelectric power, backup diesel generator power production and distribution, domestic water production and distribution, septic systems, geothermal heating systems, mineral water systems, wells and pools. The Systems Team Coordinator reports to the Facilities Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Systems Technicians in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all off-grid utilities
- Ensure systems staff members have all the necessary equipment, tools and supplies to accomplish their duties efficiently, effectively and safely.
- Establish and develop a robust training program to ensure all Systems Team staff can perform their responsibilities safely and effectively.
- Work with the designated Facilities Director, Team Support, Maintenance TC and others to develop a robust cross departmental training program and collaborative work schedule to ensure smooth overall operations of the facility.
- Manage Systems operation and budgets within Board of Directors-approved targets.
- Work with Breitenbush Admin to maintain adequate facilities staffing levels.
- Participate in performance evaluations for all Systems Team staff.
- Source and oversee outside service contracts necessary to meet co-op goals within areas of accountability.
- Work with the Facilities Director and others to coordinate use of resources and schedules for the completion of projects.
- Work with facilities staff and the Facilities Director to develop project recommendations for the Membership and Board of Directors.
- Effectively use and maintain ClickUp, to schedule and track maintenance and operations of the system, to ensure all repair and service activities are completed and thoroughly documented.
- Perform daily checks of all systems and maintain desired operating performance within set specifications and regulatory guidelines
- Analyze operating data trends to predict preventative maintenance tasks and diagnose system anomalies
- Maintain compliance records and submit in a timely manner per regulations
- Maintain all system components in good working order
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collect samples for compliance and submit in a timely manner per regulations
- Work in confined spaces as necessary.
- Participate in on call program and respond to after hours emergencies
- Utilize HMI for systems monitoring and control. Gather and record operating performance data.
- Evaluate, plan and complete repair projects and assemble parts list with costs, to minimize impact to guests and community
- Participate in seasonal snow removal as needed
- Participate in team, department and co-op coordination meetings
- Work with Automation to ensure facilities and utilities maps are current
- Work with the Personnel Coordinator to ensure proper onboarding of Systems Team staff
- Attends weekly Team Coordinator meetings
- Engage with guests to provide direction and assistance as necessary

Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, as needed
- Familiarity with systems automation, monitoring and control (SCADA, HMI, PLC, etc.)
- Familiarity with OHA drinking water regulations and reporting requirements
- Familiarity with DEQ regulations and reporting requirements
- Familiarity with off grid/alternative power generation and distribution
- Familiarity with principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proven ability to build and lead an effective team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Oregon DL
Desired Qualifications:
- Oregon Drinking Water Systems and Operation Certifications; Treatment, Distribution, Waste Water, Cross Connection Certifications, and/or plumbing, carpentry, electrical and construction experience.
- Heavy equipment operation
- Valid Oregon CDL
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Proficiency with task management software (ie: ClickUp)
