Job Summary:

The Store Manager for a mid-size store is responsible for balancing hands-on management with delegation, ensuring operational efficiency and revenue growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly oversee a mid-size team, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.
  • Balance hands-on management with delegation for streamlined store operations.
  • Conduct employee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
  • Address customer concerns and implement resolutions to enhance service quality.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage mid-size store operations, ensuring financial and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise sales, inventory, and staff to maximize profitability and performance.
  • Develop and execute localized sales strategies to drive customer satisfaction and boost sales, rentals, and lesson program growth.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and financial transaction accuracy.
  • Work closely with instrument repair and lesson departments for enhanced service offerings.
  • Clearly communicate store goals, priorities, and procedures to staff.
  • Ensure completion of all operational tasks as per company procedures.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures as outlined by the Director of Retail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of musical instruments and supplies is essential.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in retail management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2 years of retail management experience preferred but not required
  • Basic Knowledge of the Musical Instrument Industry 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
