Primary Purpose:
Assist in receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of mail, equipment, and supplies, and doing the required recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas driver’s license (Class B)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to operate mail system and mechanical equipment
Ability to operate personal computer
Ability to read supply requisitions and perform basic arithmetic
Ability to operate light truck or van
Must be eligible to drive school vehicle
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Experience:
Experience with deliveries and inventory control procedures
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Receiving
Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.
Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects.
Receive and sort by campus all district mail and freight. Deliver to campuses.
Outgoing mail and freight
Pickup and process all out going district mail and freight.
