Senior Product Specialist

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Product Specialist to join the team in Renton, WA, Everett, WA or Seattle, WA

This individual will be responsible for managing the product backlog and ensuring the development team delivers value in each iteration.

You will prioritize features based on stakeholder feedback and business value, and work closely with the development team to clarify requirements. You will also work closely with the team in Azure DevOps (ADO) or equivalent requirements tracking tools.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs activities to identify and pursue market opportunities for Information Technology products

  • Leads customer engagements and analyzes customer, competitor and market data to develop Information Technology (IT) product strategy, concepts and capabilities

  • Develops business case and product plans

  • Oversees creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps

  • Works with other IT professionals to ensure requirements are met

  • Obtains funding and approval to develop products

  • Develops plans for entry of IT products in external market

  • Supports product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes IT products internally and externally

  • Adjusts product capabilities and strategy to meet financial targets

  • Works closely with the Product Manager to understand the product vision and ensure that the backlog reflects that vision

  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to align development efforts with project timelines and deliverables

  • Engages with Analysts to validate assumptions and gather data that can influence backlog prioritization

  • Works with Division Level Purchase Order (PO) to understand and set priority based on business feedback

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Project Management and LEAN methodology

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing the development and integration of business plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals

  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and/or developing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics

  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and/or support IT project plans and schedules

  • 5+ years of experience integrating cross functional teams

  • 5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

  • Experience with Agile work-tracking tools such as JIRA and/or ADO

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with business cases, and/or customer engagement

  • Experience managing project intake, qualification, and valuation processes

Summary pay range: $131,750 – $178,250
