After School Enrichment Instructor - D and D club Position Overview
The successful candidate will be an individual who firmly believes:
- All students can and will learn, and that their learning can be directly influenced by focusing on factors over which we have control;
- In the need to work interdependently with teachers, school, and district leaders throughout the system, aligning the work of adults around improving student learning by meeting the needs, interests, and aspirations of students;
Position Purpose
This position assists in coordination of the district's after school programs by developing, leading, and evaluating clubs, classes, and youth development activities. This position supervises any program aides or volunteers working with the program. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Interact with and supervise after school program students in order to facilitate positive growth in their lives.
- Explore after school programming that addresses gaps in achievement, desires of students, and new opportunities for students to learn. Survey staff, students and parents as needed. Collaborate with local organizations and school staff
- ?Assist Coordinator in planning and effectively scheduling after school programming to include a variety of academic, artistic, recreational, and hands-on project-oriented clubs. ?

We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm for working with students. Preferred candidates will also have experience working with youth. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Plan, organize, and coordinate numerous activities
- Determine the quality of programming offered
- Work as a team member with community education and school staff
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have earned a high school diploma, with a two or four-year degree in a related area preferred. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with students preferred.
Licensing Requirements
No licensure is required for this position.
Salary and Benefits
The starting pay for this position is between
$20.58 - $22.89 and is based on
School Board approved wage scale. Your initial placement is dependent on your qualifications (education and years of relevant experience). Position qualifies for PERA.
