Description
Tasks: Production Operator performs all aspects of the Production process, including: material handling, equipment operations, equipment minimal maintenance, process monitoring, quality control, and various support activities.
- Run and understands the different operations of the entire production process, including but not limited to, operations, cleaning, and quality sampling.
- Ensures production is performed in quantity, time, quality (weight, sampling, self-checks), and productivity; in respect with cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and product safety requirements with respect to worker hygiene and safety at work rules, and environment requirements.
- Record data during operation of production line, including REPORTING all waste.
- Follows Production Lead assignments, report any abnormal situation, and propose corrections.
- Follows the production operations via screen (User Interface system).
- Responsible for completion of production documents (work order WO, weights, self-checks, etc.)
- Capable of using and reading measuring equipment as required.
- Implements the right raw material (name, code, and batch) with the adequate quantity (according to WO and Production Lead).
- Makes sure the samples are according to internal Safety Operating procedure (SOP). Works closely with QC (Quality Control) to assure conformity of product to customer requirements.
- Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
- Participates in tasks asked by Management. Participates in improvements (proposal, implementation of improvements decided by Management).
- Assist Production Manager in achieving scheduling requirements, and abides by schedule.
- Pursue ongoing goal of cost reductions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions from Production Manager and Leads.
- Works according to the cGMPs & Product Safety; hygiene and safety at work; and waste internal procedures
- Organizes and cleans the area/equipment according to the cGMPs.
* Direct report is the assigned Team Lead regarding and/or for any concern in relation with hygiene and product safety. In case of accident, secures people/equipment/product while Management, including HSE Manager is notified
Competences and skills: must have the following skills:
- Experience and/or background in equipment operations, mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Must be Hazwoper, Hazcom certified
- Forklift certified and or able to obtain certification
- ERP experience a must
- Competences in Work Order.
- Skills in hygiene, cGMP's, workers hygiene and safety, waste internal procedures.
- Able to work around and with various chemicals including ethanol, caustics and acids
- Must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends overtime.
- Ability to comprehend and follow orders from management
- Ability to grow into position continuously and develop ownership of assigned responsibility
- Ability to read and interpret PID's
- Must speak, read English
- Skills in basic computer (World, Excel).
- Basic math skills (additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions).
- Must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends overtime.
- Ability to read and interpret prints.
- Written and verbal skills for effective communication.
** Production Operator reports to Production Lead, and Production Manager
Production Operator I Knowledge of AKBM process and production operations, manual QHP loading, forklift certification, basic knowledge and some experience of systems
