We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play an important role in all phases occupational therapy treatment programs for residents in a variety of settings according to accepted Occupational Therapy practices and principles and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a way that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:
- Evaluate, develop and initiate individual physical therapy treatment plan for residents.
- Deliver occupational therapy treatments and modalities per physician's orders.
- Assign and supervise care given by the Occupational Therapist and or Therapy Technician.
- Maintain records and submit documentation timely.
- Complete discharge summary timely and accurately.
- Maintain communications with residents and family members on an ongoing basis.
- Work successfully as part of a team and be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with coworkers.
What you’ll bring:
- A current certification as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas.
- Age 21 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so you can be insured on the Buckner insurance and travel within the campus to provide services.
- One year related experience.
- Prior related experience or training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy.
- Experience with aging population.
