The Sociology Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach the following undergraduate course during the Spring 2026 semester.

Job Description:

SOCI BC3251 Science, Technology and Society

This course provides an introduction to Science and Technology Studies (STS) from a sociological perspective, focusing on how scientific knowledge and technological systems are socially constructed, practiced, and embedded in society.

Pay Rate: $13,250

Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Advanced degree in a related discipline and college-level teaching experience as an instructor of record.
