Central Scheduling Specialist I (Full-Time)
Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday–Friday

You’ll work directly with delivering mothers before they leave the hospital—connecting them with vital resources and support services that can make all the difference during the early days of motherhood. What You’ll Do:
Run daily reports to identify newly delivered mothers who are eligible for postpartum home services
Personally meet with mothers before discharge to explain available services and coordinate interest
Schedule postpartum home visits with the nursing team
Follow up on weekend deliveries each Monday to ensure no patient is missed
Stay connected with local community partners to remain informed of changing resources
Communicate updates to nurses, ensuring mothers receive the most current information
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Minimum one year experience in scheduling, patient access, registration, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a medical environment, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience and competency in customer relation skills in a professional environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work in a stressful environment. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and is self-directed. Good problem solving skills. Basic medical terminology. Exemplary keyboarding skills and experience in patient registration systems and familiarity with personal computers. Basic knowledge of hospital performed procedures.
