About the Job:
The Behavioral Health Associate I serves as an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for monitoring and reporting of client behaviors; providing continuous client care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling; assisting in client data collection, recording, and maintenance; and responding in crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed.Roles and Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do
You’ll work hands-on with clients, supporting both their safety and their personal growth. Each day brings purpose and connection:
Ensure client wellbeing through active supervision, observation, and interaction.
Promote safety with regular checks, contraband searches, and calm crisis intervention when needed.
Engage with clients through conversations, recreational activities, and group participation that encourage progress toward treatment goals.
Document observations and client progress accurately and on time.
Support the treatment team by communicating changes in client behavior or condition to nurses and supervisors.
Facilitate educational and skill-building groups, including topics like coping skills, anger management, and independent living.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and client transport, ensuring smooth transitions in care.
Help maintain a clean, organized environment, creating a calm and supportive atmosphere for healing.
Contribute to activity planning, helping develop engaging therapeutic and recreational programs.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Six (6) months or more experience working in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or a related setting (preferred)
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, dual diagnosis, and treatment modalities (preferred)
Strong communication and teamwork skills — with a calm, empathetic presence
