The Instrumentation Calibration Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and equipment to ensure they operate accurately, reliably, and in compliance with industry standards. This role ensures that all instruments critical to manufacturing and operations are serviced and maintained in adherence to established protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm (need flexibility including weekends as needed for schedule maintenance on occasion)
What You’ll Do for Us
Perform calibration for a wide range of instruments and equipment, including pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, pH meters, and other process control devices.
Adjust, repair, or replace instrumentation components as necessary to ensure proper operation.
Conduct detailed inspections and tests to verify accuracy, performance, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Document and log calibration results, including deviations or non-compliance.
Diagnose and resolve malfunctions or inaccuracies in instrumentation and equipment.
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve recurring issues and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate calibration and maintenance records in adherence to company and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, or other standards as required by the industry).
Prepare detailed reports of calibration activities for internal and external audits.
Ensure all instruments are calibrated and maintained in compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and company standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ISO 9001, GMP, etc.).
Stay updated with standards and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify improvements to calibration systems and workflows.
Qualification & Requirements
High school Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
1 years’ experience in this role or equivalent vocational and technical training.
Must have or able to obtain a calibration certification within 2 years.
Familiarity with calibration standards and regulatory guidelines.
Solid understanding of instrumentation and process control theory (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.).
Proficiency with calibration equipment and tools: multimeters, calibrators.
Must be able to use a computer and associated software programs such as SAP, Excel, Word.
