Vermeer All Roads in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to join our growing service team. In this in-shop role, you’ll diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer machinery and components while maintaining a safe, organized, and high-quality work environment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, production bonuses, and excellent benefits.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly pay: $25–$40 (based on experience)
- Production bonuses available
- Full-time, Monday–Friday day shift (no nights or weekends)

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of Vermeer equipment in the shop
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, electrical systems, engines, and drivetrains
- Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation in the work order system
- Perform welding/fabrication as needed; ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors to scope repairs and prepare accurate estimates
- Keep bays, tools, and equipment clean and organized; follow 5S/safety practices
- Stay current on technical bulletins and factory updates; other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic, hydrostatic, and electrical troubleshooting
- Welding/fabrication experience (preferred; will train as needed)
- Ability to read/interpret schematics and service manuals
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment
- Valid driver’s license
