Job Summary

Schedule: 4 days per week, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Start Date: December 15, 2025 (training period) Return from Break: January 12, 2026 End Date: June 5, or sooner Job Summary: Clayton Valley Charter High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Long-Term Substitute School Counselor to provide academic, social-emotional, and personal support to students during this short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to step into an active counseling program to maintain continuity of care and support for our students. Key Responsibilities: -Provide short-term individual and group counseling to address academic, personal, and social-emotional needs. -Collaborate with the counseling team, teachers, and administrators to support student success. -Assist students with course guidance, graduation planning, and general academic support. -Support crisis intervention and referral processes as needed. -Maintain student confidentiality and accurate counseling documentation. -Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling (required). - Previous experience in a high school counseling role preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Please attach the following to your application:
