MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER (Grades 7-8)

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly qualified ELA Middle School Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards, and support students’ academic and personal growth during this pivotal stage of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver standards-based, differentiated instruction
- Create a classroom culture of high expectations, respect, and inclusivity
- Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams
- Maintain communication with families regarding student performance and behavior
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Certification:
Must meet the certification requirements set forth by the Louisiana Department of Education and/or the Louisiana Board of Elementary & Secondary Education at the time of employment. (See Bulletin 746)
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education (K-12, or 4-8) from an accredited college/university or a related field
- Master’s degree or advanced coursework in education or in a related discipline is preferred
- Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements
- Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of Tier I Louisiana Curriculum and core academic subjects
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with middle school learners
- Proficiency in integrating digital tools into teaching and learning
- Completion of one year of student teaching or an approved internship
- Prior successful teaching experience is highly desirable
