Quality Project Manager/ Blackbelt

Plans, facilitates, and leads process improvement projects applying Six Sigma methodologies and general Project Management principles. Implements and monitors strategic improvement initiatives across a variety of business applications. Champions Six Sigma processes and methodology. Develops, implements, and trains related processes, procedures, work instructions, etc. Candidates can be located in Cookeville, TN or Nashville, TN.  This role is hybrid with a 2-3 day in-office requirement. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the continuous improvement projects
  • Drive results, ensure accountability and the sustainability of improvement outcomes.
  • Independently engage with senior leaders for goal tree, hopper and strategy alignment.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates individual innovation with respect to designing and developing processes, analytical tools, reporting tools, and training.
  • Leads multiple projects; facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; works with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals; designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.
  • Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
  • Monitors and communicates project status to project team.
  • Manages project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk; works with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions.
  • Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project.
  • Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks; guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project; provides developmental feedback to team members.

  • Data Communication and Visualization - Constructs a tale of the business problem, root cause, solution options, and opportunities through illustrating data visually, including reports and dashboards.
  • Drives engagement - Creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Plans and aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Schedule Management - Manages the project schedule using the recommended project management tools and processes to drive completion within the agreed timeline.
  • Scope Management - Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.
     

Education

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required. 
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years professional experience.
  • Atmus Filtration experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline, preferably Quality or Technical.
  • Green Belt Certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Six Sigma tools and methods.

 

 

Base salary range: $102,700 - $154,050 
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. 
 

Compensation and Benefits 
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
