Our Development department is currently seeking a full-time Development & Member Services Associate who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.
Under general supervision and maintaining strict confidentiality, this role provides administrative support to the Development/Membership Department departments as part of the Toledo Zoological Society Foundation. This involves performing general administrative duties, coordinating donations and gifts, producing acknowledgment letters, labels and mailings for several donor and sponsor programs, assisting with membership processing as needed, along with other special projects. The ideal candidate must possess strong Customer Service skills, have the ability to take direction and work independently as well as within a team.
The position reports to the Director of Development Database Applications, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires forty hours per scheduled work week.
Minimum Training and Experience
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Vocational/technical school training in administrative or computer services, and two years of administrative office experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Familiarity with non-profit database and processing donations is helpful.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
- Work schedule includes weekdays and some weekends/ evenings as required by programming schedule or events.
