Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Laboratory Assistant to support our laboratory team in delivering high-quality, accurate diagnostic results. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in maintaining lab operations; handling specimens, managing inventory, assisting with testing, and ensuring that every process meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help drive patient care and operational efficiency across our laboratory network.
What You’ll Do:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on analyzers and robotic systems

Refill reagents and consumables to support continuous workflow

Load, unload, sort, test, and archive specimens accurately and efficiently

Monitor system alarms and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime

Assist with quality control testing and prepare confirmation testing batches

Review pending logs and resolve discrepancies between received and ordered samples

Manage lab inventory, including ordering and coordinating supply shipments

Maintain documentation and ticketing for lab-related requests and issues
-
Support laboratory technicians with testing, analysis, and process coordination

Train and assist new or existing staff as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment

Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and compliance protocols
What We’re Looking For:

Associate degree (AS) in Clinical Laboratory Science required

Previous chemistry or clinical laboratory experience (college labs acceptable)

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
-
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards

Safe, professional, and organized work habits in a laboratory setting

Proficiency with laboratory equipment and processes preferred

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
