JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating initiatives, deliverables, and documentation required to obtain and maintain accreditation by oncology accrediting organizations, such as: American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (COC), American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI), American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and others that may arise. Provides a lead role in research data collection.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or other applicable field is required.
Preferred/Optional: Master’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three to five years’ experience required.
Preferred/Optional: Experience in managing multiple high visibility projects and working with broad diverse groups of people is desired.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: No license is required, however if possession of an RN license, possession of an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Attends mandatory educational requirements as directed by the organization.
Preferred/Optional: Certification in own field is desired.
