Field Engineer Intern bei GH Phipps

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in review of project documents and maintains adherence to plans and specifications
• Reviews shop drawings for project coordination
• Supports team in the enforcement of requirements for jobsite safety
• Assists with developing and reviewing JHAs
• Assists with material delivery/procurement
• Assists with GH Phipps’ Quality Assurance Program
• Assists with all aspects of job setup, project meetings, and close-out as directed
• Assists supervisor in maintaining as-built drawings and specifications
• Assists in supervising specific trade partners as directed
• Assists craft with managing day to day tasks
• Assists with creating and managing weekly work plans
• Assists with production tracking of craft and trade partners
• Assists with maintaining horizontal and vertical control
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE

3 months related industry preferred but not required  

SKILLS

• Proficiency in Microsoft suite
• General familiarity with construction software (PROCORE and Bluebeam preferred)
• General familiarity with plan and specification reading
• Ability to assist with and perform necessary functions for more than one project
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management
• Organization

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills 
• Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens

• All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time.
