POSITION SUMMARY: Executes day to day financial operations including monitoring
accuracy of requisitions, coordinating with management on program planning, budgeting,
inventory and ordering, and configuring and monitoring short and long-term projects as
well as supports ongoing monitoring of all areas of the Head Start program.

Qualifications
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONAL UPON RESULTS OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Successful Drug Screen
- Successful Physical Capacities Examination and TB screen results
-Criminal History Background Clearance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's degree in finance, business management, or related field (required), Accounting
degree preferred.
-5 years' experience (preferred), experience with not-for-profit finance (beneficial)
-Experience with NetSuites, US Department of Health and Human Services PMS and
Central Authentication Service (beneficial)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 
	
Adhere to all financial management system policies and procedures for Head Start and Paladin, Inc.
 
- 
	
Maintain effective controls and accountability for all funds, property and assets.
 
- 
	
Responsible for ensuring that costs are reasonable, allocable, and adequately documented.
 
- 
	
Monitor Head Start expenditures and budget, including verifying invoices , POs and receipts.
 
- 
	
Track Non-Federal Match receipts and budget.
 
- 
	
Coordinate with Paladin, Inc accounting department to manage bi-weekly draws from Payment Management System (PMS).
 
- 
	
Cooperate with Director and relevant Paladin,Inc staff to create Head Start 5-year budget and grant narratives. Completes SF425 and SF424/SF424b annually.
 
- 
	
Maintain inventory of assets and tangible goods purchased with federal and other grant funds.
 
- 
	
Maintain files and documentation and completes accurate and timely reports including but not limited to required monthly financial reports, income and expense report, budget to actuals, projected needs forecast, cost allocations plan, direct and indirect cost determination and de minimis calculations, CACFP, and any other documentation required for compliance with applicable regulatory agencies.
 
- 
	
Participate in leadership strategic planning and administrative meetings.
 
- 
	
Support Head Start staff to ensure a safe environment for the safety of children and families enrolled in the Head Start program including but not limited to implementing emergency procedures, safety drills, environmental safety checks and compliance with building occupancy codes and compliance.
 
- 
	
Performs all job responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner. Communicates with leadership and other Head Start and Paladin, Inc staff in an effective, professional and respectful manner.

Supports the overall success of the Head Start program and performs other necessary duties as assigned
