ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

ANNUAL SALARY: $54,080 - $58,240 (depending on experience)

SHIFT: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Days

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Environmental Services Director directs the maintenance staff. He assists with duties in maintaining a safe, clean and secure environment for the residents and staff in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hires, trains, disciplines and supervises maintenance employee
• Schedules, supervises, and maintains logs on the maintenance operation, testing and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems in accordance with prevailing policies and regulations
• Supervises TMG maintenance personnel in the facility
• Corrects any fire hazards or needed repairs in the facility
• Conducts and reports on all fire and disaster drills.
• Identifies, reports to administration and schedules repair of any equipment malfunctions, or areas in poor repair
• Maintains and updates the facility’s Equipment Operation and Maintenance Manual
• Supervises waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy
• Maintains and updates MSDS sheet books
• Orders all supplies and equipment. Codes and approves vendor invoices per policy.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Minimum 18 years of age
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid NYS Driver's License
• expertise and experience required for the task
• Demonstrated ability in management, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards as they relate to maintenance (i.e., personal protective equipment, lock out/ tag out
• Possesses a working knowledge of the Life Safety Code and all other regulations and laws pertaining to the physical environment
• Knowledge of facility emergency procedures
