AGC Biologics is seeking an Associate to join our Downstream Process Development team. In this role, you’ll support the development and optimization of purification processes for therapeutic proteins that move into GMP manufacturing. You’ll work on projects that directly support our clients and patients, and may also contribute to new technology development and client collaborations.

Compensation Range: $66,960.00 - $92,070

Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities
Develop robust, cost-effective, and well-characterized purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins.
Conduct bench-scale production to demonstrate process performance.
Support process transfer and scale-up into cGMP manufacturing.
Assist with process validation planning and execution for commercial capabilities.
Assess and implement new technologies for protein purification and processing.
Contribute to experimental design (DoE), analyze results, and consult with supervisors as needed.
Write protocols, client reports, and templates with limited supervision.
Enable downstream process transfer from Process Development labs to Manufacturing.
Contribute to or lead continuous lab improvements and lab management.
Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, offering guidance and support.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with protein purification, including chromatography and filtration-based methods. Experience with protein characterization and analysis is a plus.
Ability to plan experiments, analyze and interpret results, and advance projects with periodic supervision. Familiarity with statistical analysis and experimental design (e.g., JMP) is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail in record keeping, data analysis, reporting, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Excellent written and oral communication skills for documenting daily results, writing reports, and presenting work in meetings.
Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in working collaboratively within and across teams.
Qualifications:
Requred
B.S./M.S. degree with 2–5+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency in protein purification and related lab methods.
Preferred
Previous process development experience and familiarity with large-scale manufacturing activities.
