Description

The Custodial Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive janitorial & housekeeping services.

Primary Core Competencies:

  • Regular/routine cleaning of multiple campus buildings, bathrooms, & common spaces.
  • Emptying & replacing garbage can liners.
  • Vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors.
  • Dusting and cleaning counter surfaces, walls, doors, wood furniture, tabletops, pictures and ceiling fans.
  • Vacuuming and cleaning chairs, couches and pillows.
  • Cleaning large glass doors and windows with appropriate materials.
  • Cleaning, vacuuming and mopping multiple areas.
  • Wiping stainless steel refrigerators, door kicks, corner guards and dog baths.
  • Laundering fitness towels, dog towels, and kitchen towels as needed.
  • Communicating cleaning supply needs to the pack member who orders supplies.

 


Other duties as needed but not limited to:

  • Setting up for special events and meetings.
  • Special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Moving of equipment, furniture and supplies as needed.
  • Grounds clean up as requested.

  • Steadily work with minimum amount of supervision.
  • Follows instructions and shows initiative.
  • Has very good attendance record, rarely absent or tardy.
  • All employees are responsible for keeping the grounds of Southeastern Guide Dogs safe and clean. Reporting or fixing safety hazards, picking up trash and assisting our guests and volunteers are required of all employees.

Qualifications


  • 1-2 years of experienced custodian experience. Must possess strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license with good driving record essential.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
