About the Role

The Transactional Control Analyst is responsible for the management and processing of transactions that will directly impact the balances of client accounts.   Daily responsibilities include the review of daily reports to identify transactions that require processing and facilitating the appropriate actions to ensure processing is executed timely. 
 

The Transactional Control Analyst will work in a team setting and communicate regularly with other groups within Portfolio Services, Global Relationship Group, Client Services, Portfolio Management, and Fixed Income and Equity Trading. The Analyst interacts in a highly professional environment with experienced individuals and may have the opportunity to be involved in special projects within Portfolio Accounting.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process all cash flows and capstock transactions

  • Liaison between the Client Services and the Custodian banks on cash flow discrepancies

  • Work with Trading, Portfolio Management, and Client Service teams when exceptions occur to ensure accurate statement of cash balance in portfolios

  • Instruct FX’s as required for cash flows, expenses, overdrafts, corporate actions, etc.

  • Effectively utilize control reports to allow for efficient and independent workflow management

  • Assist custodians and accounting agents with inquiries regarding account servicing (i.e. pricing sources, reconciliation, transaction history, etc.)

  • As assigned, participate in working groups to define effective solutions to complex business challenges and/or process improvements

  • Review and resolve all cash discrepancies between custodian records and internal cash reporting

  • Reconcile non-working cash balances and instruct FX transactions as needed

The successful candidate for this position is likely to:

  • The Analyst must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, and have the ability to plan and prioritize responsibilities

  • The candidate must be able to react to and resolve unfamiliar issues, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to provide excellent client service

  • The Analyst will be required to work independently as well as contribute to a cohesive team atmosphere

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 80,000 - 180,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.   

 

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
