Responsibilities:As a Project Manager (with scheduling expertise) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for complex and multi-disciplinary projects using industry-standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Kadasa).
- Collaborate closely with project managers, teams, and stakeholders to establish realistic deadlines, milestones, and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, proactively identifying risks, delays, and dependencies; implement mitigation strategies in accordance with project management best practices.
- Drive and coordinate task assignments and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and materials to meet project targets.
- Lead regular scheduling and project review meetings, effectively communicating priorities, goals, and status updates to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Drive and track task and project completion, updating schedules and project plans regularly to reflect current status, changes, and resource shifts.
- Analyze schedule and project performance metrics providing actionable insights and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and deliver detailed schedule and project reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and key stakeholders.
- Identify, document, and resolve conflicts among project tasks, resources, timelines, and budgets, using proven project management techniques.
- Ensure all scheduling and project management processes comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and client requirements, facilitating continuous process improvement.
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- CBP BI or TOP SECRET Clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 11-12 years of experience.
- Previous experience in Systems Engineering and Acquisition.
- Technically savvy, quick to pick up tools (e.g., scheduling, dashboard, MS Project).
- Understanding the Systems Engineering and Acquisition Lifecycles at DHS, CBP preferred (e.g., ALF, MD-102).
- Excellent writing, communications, and briefing skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
- Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
