Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Development Engineer – Electrical/Embedded Systems to design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical and embedded systems for automotive and vehicle-based applications. This role requires a strong background in embedded electrical systems, vehicle communication protocols, and real-time systems integration. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and driven to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document technical specifications, electrical schematics, system drawings, and embedded software features.
  • Design and implement CAN Bus communication systems, including integration of protocols such as J1939, ISO 11898, and UDS (ISO 14229).
  • Analyze and debug vehicle communication networks using tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, and PCAN.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and systems teams for product development, validation, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot communication issues across physical, data link, and application layers.
  • Support vehicle testing, validation, and certification processes.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance embedded system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
  • Prepare and contribute to project documentation, cost estimates, and development timelines.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in electrical system design, vehicle control systems, and/or embedded systems development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, CodeSys, and other electrical design/simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle network communication protocols including CAN, J1939, and UDS.
  • Hands-on experience with CAN analysis tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, PCAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset.
