JOB PURPOSE                                                                                                                                             

As a Lead Materials Coordinator, you play a crucial role in the Turbine engine repair and overhaul process. Your primary responsibility will be the procurement of new and serviceable turbine engine materials, some outside vendor repair services, and oversight of inventory for issuance and oversight. You also step in and help in the shipping and receiving area as parts and engines arrive and leave.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for tracking and verifying priorities, scheduling and shop output, while reporting findings to the Site Manager on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that proper equipment and safety practices are being used.
  • Communicates and coordinates daily maintenance schedules and special requirements with team members.
  • Assures that the work area and equipment used by his/her team is adequate and kept in a clean and orderly condition and that all safety instructions are followed.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Site Manager.
  • Perform receiving procedures on incoming parts and materials
  • Open Work Orders in Quantum ERP system
  • Create, find and maintain records within the ERP and on paper for traceability
  • Perform physical inventory count, reconcile, research parts history and location
  • Create and physical assembly of kits
  • Pull parts for WIP and direct sales
  • Identify, control, segregate and maintain all stock
  • Identify and manage all shelf-life limited parts and materials
  • Perform mutilation and disposition of all scrap parts
  • Package and ship materials
  • Perform freight handling (strap, wrap, proper labels, load/unload truck)
  • Maintain stockroom and inventory cleanliness
  • New and serviceable aviation materials procurement, and the processing of outside vendor repair services
  • Control inventory levels to fulfill current and future requirements
  • Recognize disruptions in the supply chain and seek alternative options where possible
  • Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more assembly areas
  • Responsible for the continuous management of parts requiring repair from the production floor WO’s, issuing them to various vendors, managing the vendors processing of the parts, their timely return and issuance to WO’s as required.
  • Maintain and build vendor relationships; collaborate with vendors and parts coordinators on incoming materials and requests
  • Maintain and review records of inventories, deliveries, costs and items purchased
  • Investigate and resolve issues with problematic inventory transactions or discrepancies
  • Document and participate in process improvements

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching up to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 30 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Location: Prime Turbine - Mesa AZ facility.

Experience:   At least 2 years related experience in the Aviation Industry

Certificates/Licenses:  AZ state Driver’s License
