The current audiologist is transferring to Weymouth/Duxbury.


 

Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for selecting and fitting hearing aids for customers. Administers and interprets tests of hearing. Assesses hearing instrument efficacy. Takes ear impressions and prepares, designs, and modifies ear molds.


Essential Functions
Cochlear implant evaluations and programming

Tinnitus evaluations, counseling, and treatment

Monitor patients' progress and provide ongoing observation of hearing or balance status.

Fit, dispense, and repair assistive devices, such as hearing aids.

Educates patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.

Research causes and potential treatments for hearing and balance disorders.

Qualifications

Education

Doctorate Audiology required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials

Audiologist License [State License] preferred

Basic Life Support [BLS] Certificate preferred

Experience

audiology or hearing testing experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong patient/customer service skills.

Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.

DPOAE, ABR, ENG/VNG, hearing aid evaluation, dispensing and follow-up, and using electronic health records for documentation.
