We are adding a Senior Accountant to the RC&E team! The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Job Costing: Review and analyze project data beginning at “job turn-in” to completion. Ensure new jobs are accurately set up in the ERP. Provide project managers (PMs) with key financial insights to keep projects profitable and on budget. Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management. Make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Labor Reporting: Develop and maintain labor reporting to ensure effective utilization. Make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare fixed asset and depreciation schedules and fixed asset reconciliations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future revenues and expenses.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards. Maintain proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures. Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Accounts Receivable and Billing: Oversee the accurate and timely creation of customer invoices. Support the billing and accounts receivable process as a secondary.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant accounting related experience.
  • Intermediate MS Excel background.
  • Experience working with various accounting software and ERP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
