A Brief Overview

The Learning Strategy & LMS Lead is a pivotal role in shaping the future of talent development and organizational capability. This role responsible for envisioning, designing, and implementing comprehensive learning strategies across the organization. This position serves as the architect of learning experiences that drive organizational capability, engagement, and performance. The Global Lead will oversee learning management systems, curate and deliver innovative training programs for the entire organization, including critical talent segments, and deploy robust learning roadmaps and personalized journeys that align with both business goals and individual aspirations. This role will foster a culture where learning is strategic driver of success, and empower employees to grow, adapt, and thrive amidst change, enabling the organization to remain competitive and resilient in a rapidly evolving world.


What you will do

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap Development: Craft and articulate a global learning strategy that supports organizational goals, drives talent development, and enhances workforce capabilities. Develop and deploy learning roadmaps that span from onboarding to executive development, ensuring alignment with business priorities, industry trends, and future skills needs. Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and business units to assess skills gaps and design learning pathways that address both immediate and long-term talent requirements. Continuously monitor external trends in learning, technology, and workforce development, integrating best practices and innovative approaches into the strategy.
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) Oversight: Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of learning management systems to enable scalable, accessible, and data-driven learning across the organization. Establish standards for content curation, delivery, and measurement through the LMS, ensuring seamless user experience for employees at all levels and global locations. Champion the adoption of digital learning platforms, mobile solutions, and AI-enabled learning experiences that foster personalization and engagement. Analyze and report on learning analytics, leveraging data to continuously improve offerings and demonstrate ROI.
  • Training Programs Design & Delivery: Develop a portfolio of blended training programs that address organizational needs, from soft skills to leadership. Design curriculum frameworks that integrate blended learning modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led sessions, live virtual classrooms, microlearning, and experiential learning. Ensure the relevance and impact of programs for critical talent segments – such as emerging leaders, high-potentials, technical experts, and mission-critical roles. Evaluate and select external providers, universities, and industry partners to supplement internal offerings and broaden the learning ecosystem.
  • Deploying Learning Journeys: Architect tailored learning journeys for employees at all career stages, enabling progression from foundational knowledge to advanced mastery using LMS and AI tools. Collaborate with business partners and HR to define success profiles and career pathways, embedding learning opportunities at key inflection points. Create systems for mentoring, coaching, peer learning, and immersive experiences that build capabilities and social capital. Leverage technology to automate and personalize learning journeys, adapting content and pace to individual needs and preferences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Establish strong partnerships with regional and functional HR and leaders to champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Communicate the value and impact of learning initiatives through compelling storytelling, executive dashboards, and strategic reporting. Drive user adoption for new learning technologies, programs, and processes, ensuring engagement. Facilitate communities of practice, knowledge sharing forums, and internal events to promote lifelong learning.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define and track key performance indicators for all learning initiatives, including participation, satisfaction, skill acquisition, performance improvement, and business outcomes. Conduct regular needs assessments, learner feedback surveys, and impact studies to inform ongoing enhancements. Benchmark organizational learning maturity against industry standards and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Lead post-program evaluations, capturing success stories and lessons learned to inform future strategy.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field required or
  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 10+ Years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness within a global corporation. required
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying learning strategies, learning management systems, and enterprise-wide training programs. required
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methodologies. required
  • Advanced leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. required
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts within the learning domain. required
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable with executive audiences and cross-cultural environments. required
  • Agility in navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, global setting. required
  • Ability to continuously innovate and explore emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in learning. required

Compensation Range:

$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
