The Patient Care Inventory Specialist will be responsible for requesting and maintaining supplies and equipment, to include operating automated equipment in all patient care areas. Maintains, organizes and cleans equipment and storage racks. Transports patients and specimens to appropriate areas as needed. Frequently works in collaboration with other team members to accomplish assigned job duties. Utilizes critical thinking skills when prioritizing job responsibilities on a daily basis.
Other duties include, but are not limited to
- Organizes and gathers needed equipment and materials per standard procedure
- Maintain adequate supply levels per standard stock levels in patient care areas
- Assists nursing with patient transport and other necessary items for patient care needs
- Maintains Clean Equipment Room, Nutrition Center and Soiled Utility rooms
- Complies with all departmental/hospital regulations and establishes and accomplish mutual set goals with management as determined by patient care needs and professional growth
- Demonstrates willingness to facilitate unit function, productivity, and efficiency
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Shift: 0800-1630
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- High school diploma or GED is required
Minimum Experience:
- Three (3) years experience in a hospital or logistics area required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
- Obtains CPR AED certification within six (6) months of hire date
- Recertification is required every two years
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
