We are seeking Operations Manager candidates for our transportation operation supporting a major automotive manufacturer in the area.
Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Overseeing daily transportation and logistics operations to ensure service and productivity goals are met
- Managing Route Supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers to ensure efficient scheduling and performance
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, ensuring service quality and satisfaction
- Monitoring and analyzing operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Enforcing compliance with all safety, DOT, and company policies and procedures
- Managing workforce planning, staffing, and performance evaluations
- Partnering with senior leadership to implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
- Communicating operational updates, goals, and performance results to management and customers
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations management
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of dispatching, driver management, and material flow
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards within logistics
- Strategic problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset
