Physician Liaison – McLeod Home Health
Job Summary: The Physician Liaison plays a key role in maintaining and growing market share for McLeod Health by fostering strong relationships with referring providers and healthcare professionals. The Physician Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between McLeod Health and providers in strategically and geographically defined territories, working to enhance communication, streamline referrals, and improve patient access to services.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement strategic outreach plans using relevant data to strengthen provider relationships, grow referrals, and reduce barriers to accessing McLeod Health services.
- Regularly engage with referring physicians and their staff to address concerns, streamline referral processes, and enhance provider satisfaction.
- Stay informed about McLeod Health programs and services to provide accurate information and education to referring providers.
- Assist referring providers in obtaining timely follow-up information on their patients.
- Become familiar with basic functions and features of McLeod Health’s current Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Submit weekly activity reports summarizing outreach efforts and provider engagement.
- Attend monthly Medical Staff meetings and participate in after-hours events as needed.
Work Schedule: 80 Hours Biweekly. Full Time. This position is located in Florence, SC but will travel to all McLeod Health campuses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, provider networks, and referral processes is a plus.
