About The Role:

The Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, vendor management, and continuous improvement of AP operations. This position is responsible for handling service tickets, maintaining vendor records, and identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance AP processes.

The qualified individual will have extensive experience working in an accounts payable function within a business environment and possess a deep understanding of basic accounting principles. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy in a high-volume setting. In addition, this role is expected to provide guidance as a subject matter expert as needed, lead process improvement initiatives and partner cross-functionally on complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors via check, ACH, or virtual credit cards.
  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing and maintaining the supplier portal in the current AP automation software.
  • Set up new vendors and maintain existing vendor records in the ERP system.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with company requirements, monitor activity, and support audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support automation and best practices.
  • Analyze current AP activities trends, workflows, and identify areas for efficiency gains.
  • Lead and coordinate system upgrades, including testing and training initiatives.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts payable via service portals.
  • Prepare detailed reporting for accounts payable activities and share insights with management and the AP Lead to inform decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required for this position.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Required Experience: Three to five years of accounts payable or finance experience.
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and processes.
  • Strong math knowledge.
  • High and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about the facility regularly to perform physical activities, such as lifting items of up to 20 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, and an ability to work well across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.  
  • Must be self-driven and proactive problem solver.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
