About the Department

The City of Aiken Department of Public Safety is accepting applications for a Public Safety Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator.

Position Duties

• Performs general fire and rescue duties to protect life and property
• Exercises sound judgment in performing driver/operator duties, fire suppression, and medical first responder tasks
• Operates and performs various maintenance duties on fire and rescue vehicles and equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a valid S.C. driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent is required and one (1) year of fire or related experience
• NFPA Firefighter Certification is preferred
