This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birdsWill be required to collect birds for moving, weighing and vaccinationsWork with day old chicksMust be able to work with live animals and the associated environmentCollect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birdsMust follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security polies and proceduresAbility to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc.Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trainedMust be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment May work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidaysJob Qualifications Must have a valid Drivers LicenseWillingness to drive crews to jobsites along with assisting in main job functionsAbility to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple taskAbility to perform work that is repetitive in natureAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wristMust be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbsBend and stoop throughout the shiftAnimal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
