Compensation Range:

$29.05 - $40.67

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL SUMMARY
An Education Outreach Specialist II in the Center for Professional Development and Education Reform serves to provide outreach services to the community consistent with the mission and values of the Center, Warner School, and University of Rochester. The work of this role is to support a range of educators, particularly K-12 in specific areas of education and administrators, to become more knowledgeable, deliberate, and capable reform-minded educators. Areas of education may include science and math. An Education Outreach Specialist II supports, oversees, and contributes to this work through grants and contracts to provide professional development services to teachers and administrators and engaging in outreach efforts with partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Direct Support on grants and contracts, including developing and delivering content for professional learning institutes, workshops, and seminars in assigned area of education.
  • Direct Support on grants and contracts that provide professional development services, including providing coaching in assigned area of education.
  • Direct Support on grants and contracts that provide professional development services, including providing individualized consultation in area of education.
  • Scholarship– Sharing initiatives, efforts, impact of work with larger educational community through presentations or publications.
  • Service which includes participation in Warner Staff Meetings, Center Team Meetings, serving on relevant hiring committees and/or ad hoc committees/initiatives as warranted.
  • Business Development– Includes securing grants and contracts.  Developing and maintaining relationships with university, school district and community agencies. Contribute to financial operations of the area, maintaining fiscal responsibility/targets in coordination with the director and operations manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Masters degree Required
  • Doctorate Required
  • 5 years experience as a K-12 school or university educator Required
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required

  • Deep knowledge of education and professional learning. Strong communication and organizational skills. Required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Current or previous Teacher Certification Required
