DEFINITION:  Under immediate supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in transporting lunches to a number of schools; and performs related work as required.

Work Length: 6 hours per day

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

• Loads and unloads meals from transport vehicle
• May supervise student workers
• Drives a vehicle in transporting meals to satellite schools
• Maintains simple records of routing slips

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience:  None.

Knowledge of:

• Sanitary methods to be used in handling and transporting food

Skills in:

• Understanding and following written and oral instructions
• Driving a vehicle to transport lunches
• Maintaining routine records

Ability to:

• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Licenses and Certificates:

• A valid California driver’s license
