They will lead a team that will simultaneously enable growth, drive consolidation and standardization as well as enable technical and functional improvements of our healthcare systems and technology platform.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's level degree or equivalent experience is desired.
- 7+ years experience in IT operations at a senior management level, with a focus on healthcare systems solutions and delivery.
- 5 + years experience with oversight and system administration of Home Care Home Base (HCHB) electronic medical record system within a healthcare provider organization required. Experience with eClinical Works (eCW) strongly preferred.

- High business acumen and acuity
- Proven track record of leading enterprise scale, complex programs successfully. Healthcare organization experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use, with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance in a healthcare setting.
- Successful track record of delivering programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality, and on benefit.
- Established successful external partnerships with technology product and service providers.
- Skillful at building core relationships and establishing credibility.
- Ability to work within and build a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Ability to use and exercise sound independent judgment and discretion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of initiatives that support the development, maintenance and enhancement for all healthcare information systems, including those related to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), eClinical Works, and other health care systems/technology.
- Serves as a role model, supporting and promoting the Empath Health mission, vision, and values.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, priorities, and industry best practices.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the Health Information Systems team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to assess IT needs, prioritize projects, and develop technology roadmaps that support business objectives and enhance patient care delivery through continuous improvement.
- Oversee the customization of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other systems/applications ensuring seamless integration with existing clinical workflows and regulatory compliance.
- Drive the development and implementation of data analytics solutions to support data-driven decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, Meaningful Use, and all regulatory bodies, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and security of electronic health information.
- Ensures that all aspects of health information systems and technology are compliant with all regulatory requirements through the development and implementation of appropriate controls and health systems information policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, partners, and regulatory agencies to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications, facilitating regular meetings, status updates, and performance reviews to ensure alignment with project timelines, deliverables, and objectives.
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot technical issues, resolve escalated support tickets, and coordinate software upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Create, maintain, and improve downtime processes and documentation. Problem and incident management.
